A family owned concrete precast company had an obsolete 5-ton bridge crane system that was utilized dozens of times per day at nearly full capacity. The hoist and trolley assembly started to breakdown at regular intervals and compromised dependability was severely impacting production. PES generated and proposed a plan to remove and replace the hoist and trolley assembly with a brand-new, underhung product. The new equipment also incorporated VFD control architecture making the renovated crane both more reliable and more precise. As an added upgrade, the old hardwired pendant controller was removed and a radio control package integrated.
